Tip Of The Spear Ministries 2019
About
Tip of the Spear Ministries consists of a group of Christ followers that
provide prayer, financial support and volunteer efforts in local
communities, prisons, transitional housing units as well as mission trips in
the United States and many foreign countries. The ministry supports three
missionaries that have been specifically called to people groups in South
America and Guatemala:
Ozzie Patino
Ozzie invests his time and efforts sharing the Word and love of Christ in his
local community on a daily basis. He is engaged in ministry work within
prisons, halfway houses and juvenile centers. He also travels on mission
trips South America multiple times per year, carrying the Gospel of Jesus
Christ to jungels, cities, schools and orphanages. In addition, he also
provides discipleship materials and classes to Church leaders on each of the
trips.
Jim Shinpaugh
Jim has been working with the Achi/Pokemchi people of Guatemala for
over 19 years. Teaching and encouraging Church leaders through
discipleship classes. He also provides methods and materials to the local
Christian community, better enabling them to advance the Gospel
throughout their country.
Jair Nole Paredes
Jair lives in Lima Peru and is engaged in his local community sharing the
Gospel at schools and teaching young people through youth ministries. He
also travels and assists Ozzie, learning from a seasoned missionary, when
Ozzie is in the region.
"Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his
appeal through us. We implore you on behalf of Christ, be
reconciled to God."
-2 Cor 5:20

Ozzie’s Life Story:
Born in Colombia and raised on the streets
of New York City. Surrounded by family
troubles and forced to grow up fast. Joined
“The Savage Skulls” gang as a teenager and
lived a life of crime and violence. Moved
to Houston Texas to escape almost certain
life in jail or possible death. Tried to live a
clean life on his own but after a few years
the desire for money and power were too
much and Ozzie returned to his old ways.
After awhile a close friend was killed. Now,
he lived in fear and wanted out for good.
Fortunately God had his hand on Ozzie –
even at an early age. God had a plan for
Ozzie’s life. One that included him being
an ambassador for Christ.
“Just as people are destined to die once, and after
that to face judgment, so Christ was sacrificed
once to take away the sins of many; and he will
appear a second time, not to bear sin, but to bring
salvation to those who are waiting for him.”
-Hebrews 9:27
